Joby and Carter are back!
Well we have made it through the program week. Friday is Tribe of Quivira activities, make up day, family day and closing campfire, busy! Brandon is our last scout to complete his log carving and two fire bundles! Good job young men! if you are planning to head down to QSR on Friday for family day you will need to park in the lot and walk in to the first building at camp, Star Lodge, and check in. no vehicles are allowed inside the gate during camp week. Our campsite, Bastian, is directly behind Star Lodge. We are in the back of the site below the latrine and you can't miss us! There are porcelain facilities on camp, but it is very popular! There is a visitor open air latrine inside the gate. Again I remind you proper attire and closed toed shoes are required to be on camp. The campfire trail is rocky and hilly. Ticks are abundant and small this year. First Year scouts will be completing a vow of silence Friday afternoon, please be mindful of their burden. Second Year scouts will be free of obligations on Friday afternoon. Third Year scouts will be carrying a rock that will weight between 16 and 25 lbs that they have carved their initials in to earlier in the week. They will bear this burden until after the campfire ceremony Friday evening. if you are planning to head down to QSR on Friday for family day you will need to park in the lot and walk in to the first building at camp, Star Lodge, and check in. no vehicles are allowed inside the gate during camp week.
